Migration shouldn't cause you a migrane.

:) hello and peace, world.

Bila dah boring jalan seperti manusia yang biasa, mamat syorkan buat aksi begini to add some spice to your life.

I don't know exactly what to write but I know I want to write something.

My routine in the mornings is first thing first, check on Chocho and the fishes in the aquarium that mamat built. Emrbacing the fresh air and morning chills at the break of dawn and silence by the rooster and chirping birds. All that I'm going to miss as I head down to KL this weekend. For. Good. Inshallah. It's like going to Chicago all over again for the first time. But the mind insists that "No. This time it is different!" For the most part, it's true.

No more mama, ayah, anip OR along. Heh...tough life. Makcik Rai said "Sha, you went to New York alone but you can't take down KL?" Lol. Yeahhh...I don't know. It's scary the mary. What I know is that this "hijrah", if I took the moral story of the hijrah of our Prophet (peace be upon him) and friends from Makkah to Madinah, would seem very similar as far as intention and rewards.

It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin     al-Khattab (ra) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated." [Bukhari & Muslim]

Wuah. Dasyat kan hadith 1 Imam An-Nawawi ni? Sangatlah applicable dan relevant hadith ni utk kita semua. Just how many people have we encountered or heard of, moving out of hometown because of their spouses? Angkat tiak. Sangat ramai kot and it's no easy task. At the same time, there are many head counts of those who stay PJJ. I've heard Kedah - Johor, Penang - Sarawak and Indonesia - Chicago from 1 to 8 years and counting. Subahnalllah. Dahsyat kan? PJJ for newlyweds is not ideal but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Allah knows, aite. Even that requires a lot of sacrifices. On both sides!

For those who are moving together for the sake of their spouses, Ustaz Atiff shared, "Go ahead. Do that. Wanting to get married and stay with you spouse is also an act or worship. But don't stop at that. Wish, intend and doa for more! You have have a century more to plan for your life and other people's. May Allah help us manage our household with the support of our spouse and the new neighbors. Help us become the source of strength, peace and tranquility for the community we live in.   Intention goes a long way. The first baby step is not the execution. But the intention. Mission accomplished or failed, may Allah reward us all base on our intention. It drives us to keep us focus on the motivation, recognise unnecessary distraction and help us quickly move on when one aim after another is met.

For those who are single and ready to mingle or your purpose of hijrah from one town to another is because of work, extend your intention to your wildest dream! Imagine, once you make it to your ideal workplace, you work your butt of, you earn your pay cheque etc but is that all there is to life? The importance of mind and heart setting is so that we can work towards not just anything but something. Something greater. But as they always say, if you don't reach the moon at least you'll land among the stars. Everyone is a visionary to their future whether it be in 5 minutes, 5 months or 5 years time. May we all find what we seek for in our career - personal development, professional and moral ethics, a new purpose in which help us reach our life goal. That kind of job exists. For real. May Allah help us obtain it sooner or later.

So let's pray that Allah make smooth our journey of migration. Let us migrate not solely for worldly gain but for both dunya and akhirah.

Yes it is scary. It is as though I'm starting my life from scratch again. There are poeple to get to know, culture to adapt in, reform and transform, family and communities to build, but at least I'm at the mercy of Allah for this opportunity. Allah's teaching me independence through the dependence of strangers now.

Ke Kuala lumpur aku blah
dari Kedah,
Hijrah
dunia akan kuterjah
mencari rezeki penuh barokah
sambil dipapah
Dia
takkan biarkan aku melatah, kalah
patah
semangat dengan banyak kalinya buat salah
akan ada yang sambut
dengan ramah,
usah resah
Kerana aku percaya akan Malaysia,
Darul Rahmah
Darul Tarbiyyah
Bismillah...
:)
