Bismillah..

Assalamualaikum teman :)

hehee...sabtu lepas, mmg best lah! alhamdulillah Kompang berjalan dgn lancar.
at 3, everyone convoyed at my place. at 4, we started our journey to o'hare which was roughly about half an hour away from home.


we met uncle hamidi n family...also, john, anty lina n jasmine. everyone looked their best :) it felt like raya all over again. there were myriads of people from all over asia. there were th indian, chinese, korean, thai, indon etc..just about from all asian countries.



we started off, listening to a talk done by the stage person..whatever his name was..
he said we're the 5th to perform. fair enough...then, after taking pics and everything, we tried finding a room to practice. it was soo hectic. we couldnt do it in the hall because it was busy and people are performing their stuff too and whatnot. since we're the kompang group, that'd just interrupt everyone :D..

so, in the end, we went to this room that wa supposed t be girls' changing room. no one really came in there to get changed. so we thought, we'd use that room to practice and settle down :) because we're hoours away from the actual show. it's at 8, supposedly.

the room isnt that big. it was filled up with two massive round tables...which came in handy actually. we practiced the 3 songs, 'tawaf'ed around the tables and chillex after that :) a good surprise came just perfectly on time. anty ita came! she brought food sponsored by the MSD. KFC, that is. 3 chicken per person. as if i was able to finish that up...she had 14 cartons enough for everyone.



after that, we just sort of spent the time away embracing the hotel. Hyatt Hotel..very contemporary and unique in its own way.. at the same time there was a congress going on, conference, some dance competition..it was crazy.

the whole thing kind of delayed. we started performing at 9 or so..it was amazing. somewhat nerve wrecking too especially for hanisah n alissa. by the way, hafiz n hanisah didnt turn up until last minute just as we lined up to get up on the stage. we lost em!

we started off singing out loudly lagu penganin baru as we were walking, towards the stage. then, we moved on to the next song, and another. despite being blinded by the spotlight, i smiled away anyway even though it seemed like no one was in my sight :D

we ended up coming home late...at 11 pm. quickly we transferred the vid pic n whatnot..they guys, wan, yat, eg slept over, of cos along with anip...in the basement. it was tiresome but sure was awesome!
