3rd Part of Poem Project, Book Club Presentation and a Fun Night :)

Subhanallah...
alhamdulillah! dah bereh 2 presentations aku for kelas women and creativity dan into to women studies. i was nervous at first i must say. but i performed better than i though, alhamdulillah...well, i mean, i didn't throw up, i didn't have a panick attack, i didn't freeze in time. woah..

it was supposed to be creative, something that involved physical movement...this was the 3rd part of Poem Project. first part we had to come out with a poem. u wanna read my poem, tiki? sure2..lol. nnt saye bubuh. (igtkan lah ye). second part, we had to come out with some sort of visual aids..i brought the painting of myself that was relative to my poem. portrait muke saye. hee. besag. nampak hidung ja lebih.

so, third part ni, i decided to act out something that i felt strongly about. it was either my poem or i had an idea of immitating Abu Bakr (Rubben) scene  telling us of his conversion in Open Your Eyes by Maher Zain.

before i showed it to larone, rolando, harold, rifka, fareth and now, the whole class. alhamdulillah. GOd helped mr to meet my goal. first time i watched the video, it blew my mind away! i was overwhelmed, i was moved and indeed, it opened my eyes...and that was why i wanted to share the vid with them. i wanted them to experience the feelings i experienced. and it was a wonderful one ;)

talk abt fareth, i didn't know that girl. lol. this morning, i sat in the student lounge for almost two hours already..bored and nervous. suddenly there came a girl, african, sat in front of me. tak kenal pon. but as u know, ateeqa is as ateeqa does...bile rasa dah tak ketahuan, dia jadi tak bape malu. so, saye panggil girl tu n ckp "i need your help, your feebacks about this video...i'll be using it for my presentation". dia cool je. :) and she liked it...she encouraged me to use that video. wah. i loved her.
rolando, as we were speaking a few days ago, said i should proceed with that too.

and so i did....alhamdulillah :) u know tiki, i had around of applause and some cheering. that was awesome!! i thought they would have gone.."errrrrrrrrrr..." well, even so, at least what wanted to be delivered, delivered. it went beyond my expectation, alhamdulillah. cool lah kelas aku ni!

at 12:30 pm, kelas intro to women studies plak. another presentation...oh boyyy. this one i hadn't prepared much sbb saye lebih excited dan into presentation yg first tadi. hee. it was basically a presentation of studies and research done of an assigned book. group saye dpt buku Two or Three Things I Know For Sure by Dorothy Allison. more about lesbianism, feminism, abuse, oppression...fuuh. heavy topics they are. alhamdulillah, that went smoothly too :) at the end of the class, my group give out cnadies. the other group bawak some 'Tamole's (mexican food) cam kuih apam je pon. kaler pink, cume ade raisin, and herbs sket and wrapped around this leaf. yummy stuff. and some coconut, pineapple and mango juice in a tin...alhamdulillah. bersungguh2 semua!

so, kelas dah habis for today (1.45pm). wehee. but aku akn hang out kat sini for a while sampai 5.30...ptg ni, kelab saye (Oakton Helping Others -  OHO) ade event sket. Fun night!! come join meh..
