السلام عليكم

Dream Team vs Minnesota
Purdue vs UIUC
1. The Soccer match was my favourite moment because the Chi Town Warriors' ladies played a good match against Minnesota's team. kami tak sempat nak practice tahun ni and the last time i kicked a ball was during MWGi last year when the Chi Town Warriors (that's us) won the second place. nonetheless, somehow i improved according to abg kevin. yey...sbb dah jogging 2 weeks in advance kot. taklah badan ni terkejut lari kat padang. Chi Town Warriors were disqualified though, we didn't make to the next round because we got forfeit in the first game. by points, we, and other 3 teams were all tie. but then, by goals, we were short. late arrival by 10 mins. there was a mess up of schedule. the one that i received from a wiscon representative said Chi vs Minne at 9:30am. i was there at 8:30am. the the refree said "your game against Ann Arbor starts now...where are you team mates?" aduh...takpe, it's all cool. semangat membara utk MWGi next year. inshallah2.
2. Being there with my whole family. the three musketeers are complete. with mama and papa bears :)
could somebody please explain what's up with the referee in the corner.
i had a great convo with sis Auni..subhanallah. mase teman dia berjalan cari kereta, she mentioned a couple of times that i've grown up, she's proud of me and so on. did my dress made me look older? blaimey, that got me thinking how worse must i have been when i first met her that she sees such transformation in me. astaghfirullah. life is a journey ek. yesterday was our second meeting but like i said, it was almost we've known each other for years. alhamdulillah.
dan banyak lagi...semalam mcm byk nk ckp tapi pakse diri tido dulu. skang dah blur sket.
Wisconsin vs Minnesota
pengalaman tahun ni, bawak seribu keinsafan jugak la. lagi byk jumpa melayu a.k.a "your own people" lagi humbling. tgk progress masing2. i need to double check myself..where i'm at. saye attended the committe and volunteers' meeting pukul 11 pm, on saturday. tgk mereka berkerja, ade yang sampai demam2 sbb tak cukup tido...alah bisa tegal biasa lah tu kann. mmg tough nk organize something big mcm ni. 800-900+ peserta. dorang lagi la tak expect seramai mcm tu sbb 100-200 org je register mula. but sehari sebelum deadline registration, 800 org register. tak ke pening kepala organizer.

ape yang best lagi is that kat mwgi, bila kita dgn orang2 kita, malaysian - malay chinese and indians, i see unity.
"The differences in fiqh exist in this ummah because Allah wanted to see all of His Prophet's Sunnahs be practiced until the end of time." -- Habib Umar (db)
Let's quit being judgmental, and learn our history in order to improve our current state. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: "Of the signs of the Hour is that knowledge shall be taken away and ignorance shall reign supreme." - a friend updated her fb status regarding the four madhabs..
i just talked abt judgemental. and last night, i was reminded by that hadith in sahih bukhari, the book of knowledge through phone app. today, those contexts are being used in the same sentence. mmg la...Allah selalu berkomunikasi dgn kite in wonders. conincidental events that are supposed to happen according to His will. take time listening to that silent voice. bila ade conincidence mcm tu, there's something that Allah wants to stress. I see that as His guidance.
yes, i was happppy too that Khani (purdue) and Kennard (iowa) tegur me! aw, they made my day lah. i really carried away with my own thoughts when suddenly made kene tangkap2 gambar kat opening ceremony, khani said hai and we had a great convo. with Kennard, i was rushing about..meeting the co-ordinator, tryna get some people into the banquet, when i was abruptly stopped by a tall person. one of these days, i need to look up while walking, instead of just looking straight ahead or down. had a convo with him and apparently he entered the canoe competition but his canoe got toppled over. hehe.
on the other hand, maryam and amirah did very well, third place goes to them! :) congrats.
DTFC (Dream Team) men did well but lost to minnesota. Frank was the only was that represents the malaysian chicagoans to get a medal (gold) for 400m...coz he was the only one to sign up for it???? lol.
aa...itu saje kot for now. i was very happy to see my sis and other friends. Allah, thank you for everything..sungguh, the reasons You take away some stuff from us, are because 1) they were never ours to begin with. 2) You want to replace with better stuff...that are waaay beyond our hopes. strength through experience <3
great pics especially the 5th one ;)
