Alhamdulillah tadi bereh dah discussion session dgn Prof Omer Mozaffar dan budak2 Loyola Uni. Prof Omer ni yang bawak Quranic classes organized by Iqra' Foundation. Alhamdulillah la from there we got to know each other and he invited me to join his discussion group dgn geng2 loyola every monday 10-1pm. fuh. lame tu.
basically we just throw out random questions regarding anything and he answers, gives his two cents, discussed with the group.. most of them are muslims, bro and sis. ade masa non-muslims pon ade. tadi, ade 15 ppl, roughly. We touched on the Islamic school topic, Scholars Muallim, Seerah a bit, Committing Suicide and so on. ade dia bg soalan2 gempur once in a while psl benda2 yg saya belajar dlm kelas Quran tu. for now, pass lg, alhamdulillah..huii..
selepas ituuu, saya dan rifka melepak di barnes and noble kat evanston. spot yang baik. kat situ lah kami bertapa, sembang, solat dan bace buku..which dgn jayanya i finished a page of the book. haih. banyak sembang ni. a lot to catch up on.
Transparent. This was our spot. While discussing stuff, I saw a Malaysian friend of mine walking down the street with his mom. Rifka and I gesticulated our arms vehemently to grab his attention. but failed. it was a nice encounter though. what a coincidence.
I've been meaning to read this book written by Nassir Ghaemi. tapi tak beli lg sbb sangat mahal..baru keluar dan takde yg paperback. nnt cari kat amazon ea. psl buku ni, when I asked the pekerja kat situ to find this book tittled "First Rate Madness", when he found the book on the system, he read the tagline "Uncovering the Links Between Leadership and Mental Illness", he then looked at me funny. a sneer, almost a laugh. it's cool. i knew that was coming :) i took it as a joke.
Cheddar cheese and Broccoli soup + Baguette
dah nak pukul empat lebih, kami beriftar pula kat Panera Bread, across the street. plan saye nak ke Red Mango, kedai aiskem. tapi idea tu digelak oleh rifka. jd, terbatallah niat. ye la. bukak puasa dengan aiskem?! so, for the first time ever saye menjejak kaki ke situ Panera Bread. selama ni tak berani kot..nampak cam kedai mahal. memang pon T__T. tapi beware ye. sangat sedap soup dan roti dia. French Onion soup + Bread, Cheddar and Brocoli soup + Baguette. alhamdulillah nikmat...dpt keluar dan share2 makanan dgn somebody special :) dah lame tak hang out dgn cik akak nih! Thank you Allah.
