As we are already informed, Feminism is not an all women‘s group. In fact, whose ever voices that appear to be spreading the message of equality, justice, women’s rights and....
wait a minute. stop right there. that's not right. I think i have a problem with addressing the message of 'equality'.....though most of the time that's what the battle may seem like.
i think i have a HUGE problem with equality.
uggh. even saying and hearing the word EQUALITY bothers me.
officially my second worse pet peeve. it is as problematic as someone trying to construct polygamous marriage in the basis of EQUALITY. good luck with that. huhu.
instead, EQUITY is the word.
Allahuakbar, thank you for this ilhamm!
whereas Equality is actually quite impossible.
Equality tu bukan adil tapi boleh jadi adil...equality tu sesunggunnye persamaan. dan nak berlaku adil dalam konteks persamaan, in order to achieve keamanan, mmg manusia tak mampu. ya Allah...
imagine seorang suami, ade dua binis. isteri pertama dapat 5 cahaya mata, isteri kedua pon nak jugak bg dapat 5 cahaya mata. tetiba ja laki tu dapat 10 org anak eh. well, takde lah tiba2. kite tahu lah macammana. dan kalau laki beli sebijik kereta utk bini first, bini second pon nak kereta yg sama jenis jugak. itu belum lagi kalau dia nak harga dan time purchasing pon sama. ye lah..nak equal kan. kang sorang bini pikir kalau dia dapat kemudian, laki dia sayang dia sikit. wuah...sungguh lah. utk pompuan nak pikir nak equal pon dan penin kepala. si lakinye, cakap pon tak gune lah kn. lahawlawala quwwata illabillah...
ini, equality..but between adult and yongsters, itu equity.
mcm dlm feminism, these feminist want EQUALITY. men and women gaji sama, kerja pangkat offer sama...in fact, depa argue they want the same placement dlm military dgn men. fine. funny...coz in another argument, they fight for maternity leave and ckp it's not fair US bagi kejap je for example. tak paham2 ke org nak terberanak, nih?!...but then, where's the equality in this then? what about men? men pon nak "maternity" leave jugak. heh, in that case, NOW are you considering equity? still nope! instead they say their employers are insensitive.
Adil tak bermaksud sama...sama, tak semestinya adil.
kalau dulu mama belikan saye sepit, dress atau teddy bear, then along tak puas hati. dia pon nak. mama tanye "along nak pakai sepit jugak? nak main anak patong jugak?" lol lah kan...uish..kalau anip nak aiskem dan saye tgh asthma, batuk2...ayah may buy it for anip. tapi kalau saye nak dan ayah bagi jugak, huiii parah2....kite nak treat orang, they'd say, "treat pepople equally". takpe pon..
kalau takde association dgn mereka, takpe lah i guess. Equity is more profound. but kalau dalam pertandingan bila sorang ni menang dan deserve a prize, then, equity is applied. Prinsip adil.
(QS al-Maidah [5]: 8).
oke lah. saye terstop kat tgh2 assignment...i need to rephrase. This is a huge fault in feminism. but of course, different schools of thought, different lah perception dan argumentnye. heran how dlm buku text Rosemary Tong called "Feminist Thought" yg 417 pages tebalnye tak dimention satu patah pun pasal Equity. it's not a men hater club. it's just women-nak-cari-keadilan punya club which conditions themselve to believe that Equality is what they need when indeed, Equity should be their primary battle. nevertheless, equal rights are applicable. for sure, we need them when it comes to equal labor, time and effort etc. but yes, so do we need to intelligently differentiate what and who needs equality and/or equity...the simplest example, the prescriptions upon men and women.
|An-Nisa (4):32|
therefore, bila Allah dah cipta kita berbeza, jangan lah kita nak menyamakan. at the same time, do not ignore out difference and also not deny our similarities. masalahnye dgn Feminism ni, mmg masalah equity dari awal2 pon where men totally dismiss women in social and political lives. it's closely interrelated with violence, rape, abuse and so on. bukan dahulu saje, but up to today, it's pervasive all over the world. if only i can brief the issues USA, India, Philippine, Iraq, Mexico and everywhere lah, in one breath.
as rephrased:
"In fact, whose ever voices that appear to be spreading the message of equity, justice, women’s rights are in and of itself fights for humanism".
i let the rest for you to ponder on..
