بِسْــــــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِارَّحْمَنِ ارَّحِيم
Homework from Dr Omer's Al-Quran class..
Make a list of 5 things you are shukr for everyday
1. Thank you Allah for bringing our home with pleasant guests - Puan Norizan, Teressa (both from england), Rita (works at MIDA), Guru (husaband), and cute lil Ashiwin.
2. Thank you Allah for making my bro come to me in getting help for his homework
3. Thank you Allah for helping me solve his algebra homework! (i only wanted his trust..knowing that i'm a reliable when it comes to doing maths and other subjects)
4. Thank you Allah for making me tear up in my isha prayers. You're such a comfort when it comes to consoling :)
5. Thank you Allah for helping me go through my 5th day of puasa! i was especially lembik today :(
Alhamdulillah...today, after making begedil, i managed to sit through a documentary while melipat kain. honestly, it has been a while since i sat through a whole program on TV. it's soo hard finding good programs on TV nowadays. three things i'd watch on American TV channels are The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Project Runway and the news (which i've to be selective about). now, The Project Runway isn't of my interest so much starting from Ramadhan this year. there's a lot of unnecessary drama in it. i only ever like the creative part of the show...designers getting on with their designs. i don't pay heed anymore for the critique. too many intervals in between. annoying. alhamdulillah terjaga lah sikit mata.
The Oprah Winfrey show has ended for good. so, yeah...no more "omg, did you watch the Oprah show today?". No more turning on TV even at college to catch up on her show every morning 8.30-9.30am. kinda sad that it has ended. it was my childhood show up until today. the show that i watch with my mom and only my mom. i've lost one of my inspiration sources. but of course, she lives in us everyday. inshallah...we've learnt much from he lil classroom. now, it's up to us to bring change to the world.
so, now....i've left with little or non shows left to look forward to during my free times. anyway, thank god and thank you ayah for Netflix. at least now i get to choose whatever i wanna watch and whenever i wanna watch. so i watch China - The Lost Girls. As everyone is aware, sejak Mao Zedong's ruling, he brought in a lot of revolutions in China. pemerintahan yg sgt feudal, communistic. He was one of the great tyrants in the twentieth century. rectifying china's politics and economics his way came with a good price. you can say that china was so prosper that it was damaging. he was known as the monster and the genius. life expectancy in China rose that it doubled the population of the chinese that it got out of hand.
to make long story short, up till today from 1950's - 2011, after generations, China's enactment of one child policy still prolongs. with that limitation, parents have no choice of choosing one of the other. unfortunately, males are being preferred over girls. why? well the same reason while India the average classroom in china would consist of 39 pupils, 28 of which are boys. men's population is booming. here i've listed some of the detriments that are projected to put china in a tumultuous state.
1. growth of violence - women and girls abduction, rape, deaths of baby girls
2. growth of prostitution
3. growth of spoiled kids - being pampered to much by parents, lacking on certain values like sharing and caring
4. growth of orphanage - baby girls are being thrown away and left around
5. growth of inequity and discrimination between men and women - workforce and salary
6. growth of homosexuality?
7. growth of depression and lonesome kot sbb tak berteman! anyhow, cammana men nak ade kalo women takde.
entahlah. senang lah aku nak komen ye. analysis yang dah diproven je.
scary...it's as though zaman jahilliyah is being revived. it is, kan. baby girls are being killed and in some cases, being buried alive..menunggu waktu je utk mereka soalkan balik.
a man is just a person. but a woman makes a nation - even in tribes, they pactice polygamy. they keep their women in the huts, jaga rumah dan anak2. laki buat kerja keras dan lasak and even lethal. itu principle depa sbb kalo sorang laki, hunter terkorban...it's ok. but kalo one of the women dies, that's a huge thing because habis lah satu keturunan, generasi! subhanallah. but im not to say that it's better to have less men and more women, though. alangkah bestnya kalau dunia ni balance dan ada sorang satu pasangannya..haish. tapi nasha, yg best tu tak sememstinya baik. dan kalau semua balance dan baik2 sokmo, mana ujiannya yg bakal membawa seseorang ke jannah. tak bermakna la hidup camtu ye. astaghfirullahal a'dzim.
kalo kat india, kalau dapat baby girls, poor or family with mediocre income would abruptly declare bankruptcy sbb dpt baby girl. the future of women sgt shady. for certain reasons the chinese have fear of..
1. women's salary is 40% lower than men's (in china). so, men make more more than women. women rarely hold high posts. it's called the glass ceiling effect :( men are stronger...so, working in farm for the villagers isn't a problem.
2. pre-conceived notion that girls, after they get married, they leave the home and stay with husband and hardly or never come back.
(dlm islam, syurga anak2 sesungguhnya di bawah tapak kaki ibu. tapi syurga isteri, dibawah tapak kaki suaminya. syurga suami pulak dibawak tapak kaki ibunya).
syukur alhamdulillah for malaysian tradition that bila raya, balik kg gilir2. well, it's more of prihattin seorang suami ke atas isterinya :) islam lah tu. i don't know about tempat2 or tradisi lain. huhu.
sgt cantik, berhikmah dan tersusunkan shariah ni.
btw, sedikit note from my Al-Quran class,
THE Straight path - not crooked, simple, quick, has a destination
Shariaa - the path that leads to relief
madzhab - the path that you take
seerah - the path that somebody has walked
:) sedikit psl street/route/jalan/road, whatever you wanna call it..based on our reflection and tafseer on surah Al-Fathihah, The Opener (rather that The Opening).
alhamdulillah.
