بِسْــــــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِارَّحْمَنِ ارَّحِيم
Alhamdulillah :)
hari ini saya sgt bersyukur sbb tisu dah bertukar kulit walaupun warnanya semacam warna kulit mat salleh. it should serve as a reminder. reminder of kat Uwais Qarni rahimullah. reminder of the hereafter
funny. while seating in the waiting room prior to my meeting with the doctor, there came guy sitting two seats away from me. he had a beard! must be muslim then (i don't know why i still get jakon meeting a muslim. geez. seriously ateeqa). but wait. i can't be so sure, right ( haih stereotype tak habis2). so what, right. i ducked down to read the Time magazine again. interesting stuff. my eyes were captured by a caption pointing out that teachers are sending a couple of effeminate high school boys to masculinity camp for some "treatment" (whatever it may be..but it's not a fortnight thing, i don't think).
interesting stuff. ade effort tu bagus..it's a pendemic that's not enough to fit in one camp. I want to visit that place one day. This is a last year thing and I only just knew it. i wonder how the sambutan is in Malaysia.
I looove coming to NIU's clinic for the reason that they have decent magazines an a TV! it's one of the rare times that I get to sit, read a magazine, at the same time watching news. and sadly I never get to finish an article before the nurse would call me in. pantas mereka disini. ooh terbayang2 kisah lampau di clinic devon.
anyway, bila news pasal israel dan palestine diutarakan, pandangan saya teralih ke TV diatas. orang sebelah pun begitu. berita seterusnya pula pasal lottery, serentak pandangan kami berbalik pada magazin. sejurus ada news pasal syria, dengan pantas kami dongak ke atas semula. dah habis, kami tertunduk kembali untuk baca magazine. sama juga situasinya apabila isu perang Amerika dan Afghanistan dikemukakan dan perbincangan antara pemimpin Amerika dan GW Bush dipaparkan kaca mata TV (he looked lika comletely different person physically). imagine sambil baca magazine, kami dengar news.
don't get me wrong. i can't help but to notice it. i don't fancy him or anything. but i realized that there are a lot of concerned Muslims here. at least i'd like to think he was Muslim.
http://fox13now.com/2012/03/30/cnn-poll-afghan-war-support-hits-new-low/
i know i know..it's fox news. which is exactly what i would like to talk about.
25% Americans favored the war in the country
37% said things are going well for the U.S. in Afghanistan
34% said America is winning the war
55% of those surveyed who said the U.S. should remove all its troops from the country before a 2014 deadline set by the Obama administration
22% support and an additional 22% said the U.S. should keep some troops in Afghanistan beyond 2014.
I browsed through the internet to find the statistics of just how many Americans opposed the War in Afghan from the news that I watched this morning. I arrived at the above fox news page.
i also can't help noticing the "reverse psychology" this news was casting. it favors the favor. it's showing the numbers of supporters as opposed to the number of oppositions. it would have made a whole lot of different impact if the had shown the opposites, wouldn't you agree? so let me translate it as how i'd like it to be seen.
75% Americans are against the war in Afghanistan
64% said things are going bad for the U.S. in Afghanistan
66% said America is losing the war
55% of those surveyed who said the U.S. should remove all its troops from the country before a 2014 deadline set by the Obama administration - this i like.
brilliant! mmg dorg saja je kan tunjuk yg org sokong..
ReplyDeleteand guess what, people are to lazy to read what is written disebalik those numbers.
hmm..kita kena peka kan.
ReplyDeletekalau dah ada consensus, it will eventually prevail. inshallah!
boleh hide2..tapi takleh run away.
