Awan nano, Cok kodok, Zip Lining, Hunger Games

بِسْــــــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِارَّحْمَنِ ارَّحِيم

alhamdulillah..

my saturday was spent brilliantly with the newlywed Maria and Umar (secretary and president of NIU MSA). so really, it was like committee meeting and bonding program :) good times. tagging along with us was Umar's sister, Afrin and their cousins.

It was predicted to be a very stormy day. This was 10/11 am. So we cancelled the zip lining was for the day. But I should have known better. Knowing it's the mid-west of America, the weather can be hellish one moment, and the next, all sunny and nice. And whaddaya know? At 2pm, it looked pretty as though nothing  happened. Subhanallah. The clouds were like nothing I had seen before.

Pictures below evinced what we had for breakfast :) Alhamdulillah. Cereals, crackers, air teh and cok codok. Tak selalu meriah mcm ni bila kat Dekalb. lol. and yes, a real men cooks! - Along nak buat sup/bubur jagung ikut recipe cikgu Ju.

Zip lining. It's what we call flying fox in Malaysia. What we did was actually "flying" from one wavering tower to another across a water park in Oakville (which is in a middle of nowhere. Seriously. Farmlands, right to left and as far as the eyes can lay. Overall, there were 4 stations with different scary heights.

7:30pm, just made it for Al-Maghrib Ramadhan program called "Hunger Games". Catchy :) Lepas ni kite story mory yeh. I met Jenna and Falak there...oh, andd Hanna and her sisters who were my "classmates" from Iqra' calssees. funny. I just got hold of their mum Rayda (Muslim Philippine) the day before, who is now a travelling agent for Muslim women in US :) Alhamdulillah.

Sayup.

Attentive and some sharing. The words were beautiful. Thank you Allah for teaching us the Quran.
