Feel the Snow on Your Skin.

بِسْــــــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِارَّحْمَنِ ارَّحِيم

Minah kept asking Mamat, what is the purpose of snow???

From my rough observation, when it snows, the climate always seems to reduce in temperature. An indication that snow will be coming down is that, it'll always be freezing for a day or two prior.  The chills seriously creep to the bone. A tiny bit of snow is like a butterfly fluttering in the sky...a fleeting glimpse is suffice. But a lot of them is like a butterfly landing on your hand. The beauty of it is hard to ignore. You'd wanna stare at it, feel it, play it, swim in it and eat it!
It comes down in flakes, each one individually designed with six points. They interlock one with the other, but not perfectly. Just like someone playing Tetris for the first time, there are always spaces between the pieces. Much of the snow on the ground after a storm consists of empty space. That space prevents the heat of the soil from escaping just like wool prevents body heat from escaping. By doing that, not only does it protect my flowers from freezing, it also protects all the ants, earthworms, fungi and bacteria that enrich and enliven the soil.  - nicely put by Max!
When it snows, I fall in love with the Creator all over again. Snowflakes perfectly cushioning my driveway with a thick, fluffy and amazingly white carpet.Speaking of which, when it snows, it asks us to exercise a bit. Shoveling! That's my favorite workout :)

When it snows, like rain, it omits a sense of serenity and purity. The earth gets washed out like how the cars need their polishing once in a while.

Snow brings people together. They play snowball fights, make snowmen, ski, snowboard. I remember once, when a snowstorm hit Chicago. Everybody was told to stay at home...schools, colleges, offices were closed due to the perilous weather. Electricity was out for two days. That was when we finally got to seat, talk, play board games and really enjoy each others' company without distraction...a tradition that seems to be forgotten in the midst of chasing other worldly enchantments...or are they enchainments? By and large, heavy snows give people a break! Have Kit Kat, pop corn, roti canai, nasi kandaq or whatever, my point is that, who knew there's so much to snow than just getting cold, wet and muddy.

When it snows, everything would be covered up by a white sheet of blanket. Car, roads, building, trees, lakes, people...Imagine, macam ni ke padang mahsyar nnt bila bumi akan diselaputi dengan pasir putih? nothing to be making snowballs out of for sure. hmm.

‘O Allaah, distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West, O Allaah, purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth, O Allaah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and ice.’

(From the video) Tak dapat mkn snow, makan ice-cream pon boleh! :) Alhamdulillah.
