Wanita Itu Adalah Perhiasan Dunia

Wanita ni adalah makhluk Allah yang cantik. Wanita ni adalah makhluk Allah yang saaaangat cantik. Faham? Tak perlu saya emphasize lagi. Macam bunga ros. Kalau the petals are destroyed, there's only the stem that's left of the bunga ros. Cuma, dia dah tak jadi bunga ros..dia dah jadi batang ros. Atau pun batang saje. batang apa? Meh..tak penting. Tak dikenali asal usul pokok dan bunganya. buang saja. sebab apa? Sebab batang tak secantik bunganya. Sebab batang tak boleh dibuat perhiasan atau dandanan. Dah takda fungsi. Tajam2 duri batang bikin hazardous je kat orang.

Perhiasan. Pasu bunga tu perhiasan, juga. Kalau dia pecah, dah tak comel. Buang, beli baru saja.

Saya sangat frust by the fact yang baru tempoh hari saya mengadu kenapa orang risau/tak bg saya balik rumah jalan kaki sorang2 pd waktu mlm. Bukanlah sebab saya nak rebel atau eksen mengatakan saya sgt berani atau nothing can harm me. But I hate the fact that I had to break the solemn promise that I made to my sis to never go home alone at night. That frustrates me to the max because I can't help itttttt. I can't always help it. Saya benci dengan dunia ni yang sangat mengopresskan saya dan org2 yang risau pasal keselamatan saya. Begitu juga dengan kerisauan saya dengan adik2 perempuan saya atau anak saya sendiri nanti. Dunia ni sangat memenjarakan perempuan dan golongan yang lemah. As though she is not aware and scared for her own safety, society expects and forces her to feel even more scared :(

Then I thought, while I complain about this, women in other countries are suffering greater turbulences. For them, whether they stay in or out, it makes no difference. Either way, they always feels threatened. Either way, she always feel insecured. Either way, they're still going to get raped, abused and beaten. There's an indigenous group called the Yanomami situated in the Amazon rainforest between Brazil and Venezuela. Women there, while they wander off alone in the forest to gather food for the family and community to eat, they are likely to get raped by the men and youths of their kind. It's almost expected of them. If the husbands find out, they'll get beaten up all over again. We're talking about nomadic people who live in a tiny community of 30-40 people. Sure they're tribal people...but how come they're resembling much of the civilized today? Isn't that ironic.

I accept ya Allah that we are Your beautiful creations and also we are Your weaker creations. Yes, we do need to take the extra miles to guard ourselves...more than men do, more than men care to.

I need to realize that while my sisters are struggling to defend themselves in their misogynous world, the most I've to worry about is my safety in the public realm. While they strive for their basic, fundamental, GOD-GIVEN rights, I strive for the right of walking home alone safely. Although this is basically everyone's basic "right", how mundane does it sound? Rasa minute sgt2 je "masalah" saya. Takde masalah pon sebenarnya..tapi macam nak cari masalah. Which sounds more "real"of a battle now?

Aku redha ya Allah. "Tapi kalau wanita tu pecah atau dicabul kelopak2 bunganya?" Tak ada apa yang menarik tentang wanita itu untuk dihiaskan dan dipersembahkan. Aku pasrah. We are the beautiful and weaker of the creations. Wanita itu adalah perhiasan dunia. Terngiang2 kata2 ni dlm hati. In a way, it sounds very belittling, very objectifying. Surely we're not here to just sit and look pretty. There's something wroing with that statement and I'm not sure what. Boleh pulak dah frust dan menelopong sakan, Allah sparks hope mcm ni out of my silliness. Boleh pulak dengar berita wanita kena simbah dengan acid tu, saya langsung terlupa the main context of the message. Awal sangat letak titik noktah. Subhanallah...thank you Allah.

So yes, even bila seorang wanita tu dah pecah atau dicabul kelopak2 bunganya, identiti dia masih tak hilang. Harga diri dia masih tak kurang...kalau dia Allah dalam diri dia. Wanita solehah kot...cekal dan kental. Dunia tu comel bukan sebab kecomelan wanita dari aspek fizikal dia, tapi dari aspek spiritual dia yang prevailing sampaikan dunia pon jd comel sebab her balanced well being (emosi, intelek dan fizikal). Lepas news psl wanita kena simbah acid tu, mai pulak news psl Slut Walk where women march up dgn slogan "Provocative Attire Isn't an Open invitation to Sex" I agree. It's not. Tgk niat la beb. Apa depa tau pasal niat haku. Rimas la dgn orang yang suka judge dan salah sangka ni. Tapi provocative still provokes. Confuse sebab appearance dah sama dgn dengan slut yg memang niat buat open invitation. The fact is, men, stoical as they may seem when it comes to this, they're weak. Susah sebenarnya nak control nafsu. Although men are gifted with physical strength, doesn't mean they're all powerful. Women don't own physical strength doesn't mean they're all weak. She's all powerful when it comes to physical beauty...laki boleh dengar dan tunduk sebab tu. Dahsyat kan. Tapi kalau kita take our strength for granted, senang2 je guys sabotage kita punya strength sebab dia ada physical strength. Lagi dahsyat kan. Jadi, kalau kekuatan masing2 tak di provoke to both parties dengan sesuka hati dan tak kena pada tempatnya, taklah either parties suffer. Suddenly I've lost the will to say anything because there's a great prob that needs tackling. Females need to readjust the way they view themselves. The way men look at women and women look at men is different. After all, who is the audience of pornography?

Sesuka Hati

Men are proud of their physical strength therefore they rape, women are proud of they physical beauty therefore they seduce. That's as, generic, simplistic, judgmental and cliche as it gets. While women are too weak to defend themselves against men's physical strength, men on the other hand are too weak to control themselves against women's beauty. Nampak tak kat mana terletaknya strengths dan weaknesses kita in comparison to the opposite gender? We were made to compliment each other  like that. We are PB&J. Jadi, dua2 ada responsible masing. "Men need to lower their gaze. Women need to watch what they wear" That's as, generic, simplistic, judgmental and cliche as it gets...because cliches conform to the norm. 

Oke lah. Buat2 faham je la setakat ni. Ckp pasal isu ni takkan penah habis.
